On the 7th of September, a number of our SRC members volunteered their time to sell Legacy merchandise in the local community and at school. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being in the community and chatting with many local residents about the important work Legacy does.
The students were overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community, our teachers and our students in their support of Legacy. They collected $1,350 from merchandise sales and donations.
We received a lovely message from Mr Gary Eggert, Treasurer & Pensions Officer of the Engadine RSL Sub Branch
“It is great to see the schoolchildren getting involved. Our sellers at Engadine loved seeing them also contributing to the great cause of Legacy. Our five sellers and the two licensed clubs collectively put in 120 hours over the week in Engadine and Bunnings to raise $10,105.90”.
What an incredible effort!
Thank you to everyone who donated and supported the great work that Legacy does in our local community and beyond.
