Making a Difference – Knitting for Charity

Engadine High School

A dedicated group of students recently presented Major Glenn Whittaker from the Salvation Army with a number of blankets on assembly.

Thirty-one students and a number of support staff and teachers spent hours of their own time knitting squares to sew together to make the blankets. The students produced 4 large blankets and 2 children’s blankets. Major Whittaker will distribute these blankets to those in need this winter.

The 2018 Maker Space - Knitting Program has begun in the Library - all students are welcome to join the knitting program at lunch times.
