Once again, Engadine High School’s Year 12 students are campaigning for the Leukaemia Foundation through the World’s Greatest Shave. Year 12 annually lead the whole school through this social justice project, to raise funds that will support the health and wellbeing of people with blood cancers. This year, the campaign is more personal as one of our Year 12 students recently passed away from cancer after a very long and brave fight. Every year, the Year 12 students set a benchmark; this year their goal is $30,000. Currently, the school community has raised $28,200 placing us as the highest fundraisers in New South Wales, and the second highest school in Australia. Our World’s Greatest Shave assembly will be held on Tuesday 13th March where over 60 students and 4 teachers will bravely shave or dramatically cut their locks in support of others, continuing our strong commitment to the Leukaemia Foundation and social justice.
