National Schools Tree Day

Engadine High School

It was the National Schools Tree Day on Friday 26th July. The Student Sustainability Council worked tirelessly to improve the soil and replant our ‘Vege’ garden, hoping for a beautiful crop of fresh veggies towards the end of the term.

The students also planted around 20 species of native ‘Bush Tucker’ plants, not only for cooking purposes but to increase awareness and understanding of traditional methods of Aboriginal bush medicines. General clearing and maintenance was also carried out to ensure the agricultural area is fully functioning for all to use.
