A display by Year 11 on Animal Enrichment has generated great interest among students and staff over the past two weeks. Year 11 Biology students were assigned the task of investigating and researching different solutions to a ‘real’ problem faced by zoo keepers.
The day consisted of events celebrating culture, building respectful and trustful relationships, passing on knowledge and fostering community connections. Engadine High School Students proudly represented their peers and community through a Yarning Circle, a Gili Dancers performance and a collaborative art workshop. Rhiannan Eve and Lara Towner from Year 12 were invited to take part in a painting class which was led by local elder Aunty Deanna Schreiber, a respected artist who also delivers the Sharks Cultural Awareness Program in educating students on Aboriginal culture and history.
