Welcome to our final e-newsletter for 2017; what an incredible year it has been!
We have seen our students grow and embrace our rich and positive learning culture whether it be in the traditional classroom, or through extra-curricular opportunities; 2017 has proved to be a dynamic and rewarding year that has continued to foster students’ thirst for learning.
On Monday night we celebrated the many academic achievements and accolades at our spectacular presentation night. We were honoured to have John Bursill, Engadine High School alumnus and proud Dharawal man, speak to the community, sharing stories from growing up in the local community and his days as a student at Engadine High School, to the many successes he has had in his career. He highlighted the importance of making a strong connections with school, land and people in an inspiring address. Thank you to all our special guests for presenting on behalf of so many organisations, highlighting the value we place on strong partnerships across the greater community. We would like to again congratulate all award recipients for their continued hard work, determination and success. We look forward to seeing your continued success in 2018 and beyond.
2018 will provide our students and staff with more exciting opportunities to strengthen their connections to school and commitment to learning. We are excited to welcome our new Year 7 students, who will no doubt be experiencing the mixed emotions that come with starting a new chapter in their education. We will also be welcoming a few new faces to the teaching staff, and are confident our school will benefit from the passion, expertise and enthusiasm they will bring.
Finally, we would like to thank our wonderful staff for another brilliant year! We are incredibly privileged to work with such outstanding teachers who make our school the thriving and vibrant place that it is. We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.
