Sharks Make Bullying History Incursion

Engadine High School

On 4th September Year 7, along with Years 8 to 10 SRC members, attended an incursion focused on anti-bullying presented by Brett Murray from Make Bullying History Foundation in association with the Cronulla Sharks.

The incursion covered topics such as: what is bullying, why people bully, how we can prevent bulling and set goals for the future. The program empowered all of the students and encouraged them to work together to improve outcomes for all children across our school. Students met upcoming Shark’s NRL player Ronaldo Mulitalo who spoke to them about his experiences with bullying, the importance of believing in yourself, goal setting and dreaming. In the evening, parents and staff attended a seminar which explained the underlying reasons why children bully and strategies that can be put in place at home to help combat bullying at school. Overall, the day was a success and we are grateful to Brett from the Make Bullying History Foundation for his words of wisdom and inspiration.
