SRC Christmas Appeal - The Smith Family

Engadine High School

The SRC has elected to support The Smith Family this year for its Christmas Appeal.

The Smith Family’s Toy & Book Appeal is your opportunity to help bring a smile to a disadvantaged child’s face this Christmas. Sadly, thousands of Australian kids will go without receiving a gift this holiday season simply because their families can’t afford it.

This year, with your help, The Smith Family aim to deliver over 75,000 new toys and 50,000 new books to children in need around Australia.

Our Toy & Book Appeal provides gifts to children in need, allowing them to feel a sense of belonging this Christmas. Your generous gifts will help them acquire the skills and knowledge they need to build a better future.

Donations of new toys and books help The Smith Family ensure that they are of good quality and usable when they are opened on Christmas morning. This year they have a shortage of gifts for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 years. Gifts such as board games and activity-based toys are always well-received.

Don’t forget that your gift should be ready to play with as soon as it’s opened on Christmas morning. When you’re deciding what to buy, remember to include batteries if needed, and colouring pencils for colouring-in books.

Students are asked to place new unwrapped gifts under the Christmas Tree in the Library before Tuesday, 11th December.

Please see the link below for more information and a guide to gifts.

The SRC would like to take this opportunity to thank the school community for their ongoing and incredibly generous support of SRC initiatives.
