We believe effective leadership is the cornerstone to an informed global economy, and young people need well developed skills in instructional leadership, mentoring and emotional intelligence in order to lead others through our constantly changing landscape.
We recognise leadership is not limited to traditional roles and seek to utilise mentoring to build the leadership density of students to be responsive to a range of contexts. The Year 12 Prefect body, Student Representative Council and Student Sustainability Council are active leadership teams that passionately drive initiatives to make a positive difference to the lives of students, as well as broader community members. Opportunities to refine these skills are seen through student participation in a range of social justice and sustainability initiatives, the Mock United Nations Assembly, Leadership by the Park, Young Women’s Leadership Seminar @ Parliament House, the Refugee Challenge in Schools, Rotary Youth Project of Enrichment, and the Amnesty International NSW Annual Schools Conference.
