The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is one of Australia’s leading scientific organisations, located approximately 20 minutes from our school.
ANSTO is responsible for delivering specialised advice, scientific services and products to government, industry, academia and other research organisations.
Engadine High is most fortunate to have developed links with ANSTO through the ‘F1 in Schools Car Challenge’. They have provided access to the expertise of their scientists; manufactured very fine wheel components; and they have also been a major sponsor for our teams. Visit their website at www.ansto.gov.au
We have established highly effective links with PROBUS, a local community organisation of retired people. Each year, we welcome their members to our school for their meeting.
Staff and students deliver a brief presentation about a school program and Hospitality students cater a sumptuous morning tea.
Student entertainment is always a highlight. Bands, vocalists, musicians, dancers and drama students perform a highly entertaining repertoire. This is supported by students from Entertainment VET who provide professional skills in lighting, sound and stage management.
On the fourth Tuesday of each month students and staff are lucky to see the hard working members of the PRBUS Bush Care group donate their time and energy to maintain our gardens.

Engadine High has a productive and supportive relationship with the Rotary Club. This wonderful local club has provided financial support for needy students and initiated and supported excellent youth programs in a range of areas.
Rotary has some excellent youth programs in a range of areas including Science, engineering, citizenship, road safety and leadership. Their sponsorship has enabled several students to participate in these opportunities each year.
Engadine Rotary is also responsible for our wonderful school bus that enables students from our Support Unit to attend excursions and work placement and other students to attend sporting, debating and performing arts events.
This is a fine example of how local community organisations can support public education in the Engadine community.
