Last week, our Intermediate Theatre Sports team represented Engadine High School proudly at the regional Theatre Sports competition.
The team was led by our Theatre Sports veterans, Hannah Adams and Rayden Tregubov from Year 10. Joining them this year was their fellow 2016 semi-finalist, Charlotte Holloway, as well as newcomers Emily Fien and Olivia Mazzouli.
Each year, we send off a troupe of Year 9 and 10 Drama students into the competition's fierce theatrical battle rounds. Last year, our Intermediate Team made it all the way to the final four teams in the semi finals.
In 2017, our Intermediate Team certainly didn't disappoint. Although they fell just outside of the 1st or 2nd placing needed to advance on the night, a fun and dramatic time was had by all. We value the team's participation in the competition for the performance skills they pick up. Opportunities to perform in front of live audiences, especially in a competition format, are rare but incredibly worthwhile.
We look forward to seeing Hannah, Rayden, Charlotte, Olivia and Emily share their experience with their Drama peers. These students will lead our in-school Theatre Sports competition later this term, at which we will select our Junior team to compete in Term 3. Next week, our Senior team takes to the stage. Break a leg!
