FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

  • 40 Hour Famine - $8042.78 – funding World Vision Projects in Bangladesh, East Timor, Malawi, Nepal, Syria and Swaziland

  • Sweetheart Day – Heart Kids - $1,000

  • Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal – 9 student volunteers

  • Mercy Huts Surf Retreat on Rote Island, Indonesia - $614

  • Wear it Purple Day - $1,163.50

  • Books for the Madiba Project – 40 boxes of books for schools in Sierra Leone

  • Legacy Foundation – $1,050 collected contributing to $68,329.90 collected in the St George/Sutherland Area this year

  • CanTeen’s Bandanna Day – $1,214.45

  • Hamaz Abanaeim our Sponsor Child from Ethiopia – Plan International - $576

  • Footy Colours Day - $1,080.41

  • Team Spirit Award’–Engadine High School–inductee of Fight Cancer Foundation’s Footy Colours Day National Hall of Fame 2016

  • Share the Dignity - $171 donation

  • World’s Greatest Shave – $19,034 – EHS listed as one of the top 50 fundraisers across Australia in this event

MULTICULTURAL / SOCIAL JUSTICE ACTIVITIES

  • Harmony Day – “Everyone Belongs”

  • Wear it Purple Day – supporting diversity and inclusivity in our school community regardless of gender or sexual identity

  • Membership of Amnesty International Australia

  • Amnesty International Write for Rights Project in HSIE lessons

  • Ongoing Sponsorship of Hamaz Abanaeim from Ethiopia through PLAN International

  • White Ribbon – participating in the inaugural march from Woolooware to Cronulla, year group assemblies and film making
